As a part of our series of Masterclasses we recently had the honour of welcoming Ciara Chinniah for a guest session with our Sixth Form students. Ciara is a highly experienced drummer hailing from Essex with an adoration for weird and unconventional time signatures. After finishing her studies at The Academy Of Contemporary Music, Ciara went on to perform in theatre shows as well as in concerts across Europe, The UK and America, before intensive studying at LAMA in Los Angeles.

Ciara has been extremely busy recently, having played the UK Drum show in Liverpool, running two podcasts (Drummer Mamas and Drum Education Live) and hosting drum camps with fellow-drummer Will Daly. Ciara also plays in Electronic Pop duo ‘The Penelopes’ who have been regularly playing in London and Paris. Despite all of this, Ciara still found the time to come and give this masterclass for us and our Sixth Form students - thank you Ciara!
