MUSICAL THEATRE
A NEW FULLY-FUNDED PERFORMING ARTS SIXTH FORM COURSE LAUNCHING SEPTEMBER 2025!
The Rhythm Studio’s state-funded sixth form Musical Theatre course is designed to offer students a comprehensive foundation in singing, acting and dance. Through practical work students learn how to create and perform the art form that they love, while discovering the work of successful performing arts professionals and organisations, and exploring current trends in the creative industries.
COURSE CONTENT
A selection of singing, acting and dance units equip students with the necessary skills to develop their musical voice and offer insight into how to begin working in the world of performing arts. From technical study, to rehearsal and performance, this two-year full-time programme will guide you through each step of the process.

Musical Theatre Performance
Audition Preparation
Group Tutorial & Masterclass
Each week students attend Group Tutorials, covering personal, social, health education and citizenship, or Masterclasses lead by guest tutors from across the creative industries.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
Prior experience and a passion for musical theatre, singing, drama and dance
A minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 or above (including English and Maths).
A successful audition - applicants should prepare for an interview, to perform a song and a monologue, to take part in a dance workshop, and to do a written assessment.
QUALIFICATION
A nationally recognised Level 3 Extended Diploma equivalent to 3 A-Levels.
PROGRESSION
University or directly to employment in the creative industries.
FEES
If you are aged 16-18 on 1st September of the academic year, and you have been resident in the UK / EU for the previous 3 years, you will be entitled to FREE TUITION.
