Course fees for after-school and weekend classes are due at the beginning of each term and must be settled within seven days of the start of term. Those wishing to pay term fees in two instalments may settle half of the balance during the first seven days of term, and the remainder during the week that precedes half term.
The Rhythm Studio’s classes take place at a regular time each week during term-time. If a student misses a class, the applicable fees still apply. The Rhythm Studio is unable to offer catch-ups for missed classes.
The Rhythm Studio’s teaching staff is made up of professional gigging musicians. As a result, on occasions your lesson may need to be covered by another member of The Rhythm Studio team.
The minimum commitment for after-school and weekend classes at The Rhythm Studio is one term. For students taking accredited courses, the minimum commitment is 1 year for Certificate Courses, and 2 years for the Sixth Form programme.
Students will be enrolled for their lessons for the following term unless written notice is provided no less than eight weeks prior to the start of the new term. If written notice is not received eight weeks prior to the start of the new term, the full fees for the new term will be payable.
In the event that a student wishes to discontinue lessons in the middle of a term, the student will still be liable to pay for those lessons not taken during the remainder of that term.
Students under the age of 12 must be accompanied by an adult when arriving and departing The Rhythm Studio premises.
In the interests of the student’s wellbeing whilst in the The Rhythm Studio's care, the school must be informed of any medical condition, special educational need or other relevant condition affecting the student.
Students must comply with The Rhythm Studio’s Student Code Of Conduct at all times. The Rhythm Studio reserves the right to temporarily suspend or permanently exclude students from classes at The Rhythm Studio for non-compliance with the Student Code Of Conduct in line with the Student Disciplinary Procedure.
When enrolled in online classes, students, parents, guardians and all members of their respective households must comply with the code of conduct set out in The Rhythm Studio’s Online Learning Policy.
It is compulsory for students taking drum kit lessons, band sessions and music performance classes to wear hearing protection during lessons.
The Rhythm Studio will send occasional email and SMS updates to the parents/carers of each registered student, in order to provide inform students important dates and events.
The Rhythm Studio may feature photographs and film images of its students taking part in school events on its website at www.therhythmstudio.co.uk and on other appropriate social media channels, including The Rhythm Studio's Facebook, Instagram and Twitter profiles. If you do not wish your child to appear in these images inform The Rhythm Studio in writing.
