We are really excited that our Primary School’s Rock & Pop workshop programme has started once again. Each week 90 local state primary school pupils from Years 5 & 6 at St Mary’s RC and Bevington Primary Schools are taking part in band and music production workshops.

For the bands the children are split into small groups of drummers, guitar players and singers who come together to perform 3 songs by the end of term. Their first song is Watermelon Sugar by Harry Styles.

The music producers will develop their technical skills creating songs using GarageBand software on iPads whilst learning about the fundamental elements of music, including song structure, tempo, rhythm, pitch, timbre, dynamics, mood and textures.
