BEATBOXING 101

The Beatboxing 101 course is for anyone aged 9+ who is interested in vocal percussion and making their own beats on the go.  Prior experience or knowledge of beatboxing is not required.  Students will learn the following on the day: 

• Introduction to beatbox history
• "Fundrumentals" - how to create the 'B', 'T', 'K' to produce bass, hi-hat and snare sounds
• Vocal SFX, such as throat bass, scratching and horns
• Compound beats - beatboxing in teams 

By the end of the lesson, students will perform a song of their choice collectively as a class using all the techniques learned on the day.
