Phillipa cookman

Vocals

Phillipa grew up in a musical family and spent her childhood performing at her local theatre. As a teenager she moved on to playing in bands which is where her love of singing really took hold and she began her training. After a BA Hons degree in Commercial Music she started working as a singer and then a few years later went on to train at the prestigious Royal Academy of Music for her post graduate. It was here her love of voice science started and she really started delving into vocal technique. She trained under some of the best voice coaches in the UK and has since done her first year of the Estill Master Trainer programme.

Phillipa has performed around the world as well as touring extensively in the UK. She has worked as lead singer, backing vocalist and a recording session singer as well as a guitarist. 

Her debut album went to no1 in the UK iTunes Country Chart!

She is still a professional vocalist but has embraced a love of teaching and coaching. She is very excited to be working at The Rhythm Studio and be part of the team.
