RSF Scholarship Spotlight - Asia

We are really proud to share this amazing film highlighting our RSF Scholarship student Asia who, with the support of The Rhythm Studio Foundation and her tutor Maja Slatinšek, alongside her own hard work, determination and talent, has taken her place studying a BA in Music at the pioneering Leeds Conservatoire.

Huge thanks to Milkmoney for choosing to profile one of the star students of the RSF Scholarship Scheme in this very special video.

The Rhythm Studio Foundation Scholarship Scheme provides annual awards aimed at talented and passionate 11 to 18 year-old musicians in need of financial support to help reach their full potential. Successful applicants are funded for weekly lessons at The Rhythm Studio on drums, guitar, bass, piano, vocals or music technology for three terms. We also offer the experience of playing in bands, performing live and recording, as well as mentoring from music industry professionals - a full primer for a career in music.

In 2022-23 we have 18 RSF Scholarship holders, however since the scheme’s inception in 2013, 70 young individuals have benefited from a Rhythm Studio Foundation Scholarship and many alumni have moved on to study at prestigious musical and non-musical institutions such as Oxford University, Columbia University in the US, Goldsmiths, Leeds and BIMM. Scholarship students have regularly won awards at the Tri-Borough Music Hub's Future Sounds competition at Bush Hall, whilst others have secured recording contracts and commenced performance careers in the West End.

The scholarship scheme is generously supported by XL Recordings, The Worshipful Company of Glovers, Nathan. M Ohrbach Foundation, CLC Solicitors and T5 Dare Trust.
