Sean Crossan

Drums | Music Technology

Sean's interest in music began at the age of ten when he joined a local Scottish pipe band. Here he learned the rudiments of drumming and to play the snare drum. Being a member of the pipe band involved practicing most nights and competing at the weekends both on an individual and band level. The pipe band won many major competitions around the country and Sean was usually amongst the prize winners in individual competitions.

Sean then moved into a punk band in his high school years, winning inter-school competitions and gigging around Scotland. By the age of 17 he was playing drums in an indie rock band called Brady Cole who produced their own material and amongst their many achievements went on Uk tours with the Foo Fighters in 2005 and 2007 playing all the largest arenas around the country including two final nights at the O2.

At the same time Sean was involved in a community project with youngsters, teaching drums and organising recording and live events with young bands.

In 2009 Sean moved from his small hometown to London to study drums at The Institute of Contemporary Music Performance, as well as joining other musical projects moving into different genres notably LA based band Waxy where he spent some time recording and gigging in California then on to a European tour supporting Kyuss.

From there Sean has spent much of his time in electronic based music and has been Dj’ing, producing, recording and engineering with his own bands and projects along with others,

Sean is currently working in the studio with his new band Karman Line, as well as teaching drums and music production.
