James' passion for music started age 5 when he started playing the Trumpet. Playing in a number of Jazz bands and Orchestras throughout his school life he then went on to  complete a BA in Sound Engineering at Kingston University.  

James has worked in a number of different areas of the industry from dance label Jalapeno Records, Music sync company Pitch N Sync and Audio Post Production company The Farm Group working on projects including The Jonathan Ross Show, Ross Kemp On Gangs and Britains Got Talent.

During the early 2000's James set up a club night with a collection of DJs and performers putting on events in and around London including a night with Tom Middleton and hosting a tent at the Into The Woods festival. 

Before working at The Rhythm Studio James worked at Godolphin & Latymer School in Hammersmith overseeing the use and teaching of the Recording Studio, Mac suite and Performing Arts space.

James is the course leader on The Rhythm Studio's Level 3 Extended Diploma and part time Certificate courses. He specialises in all things Music Production including Ableton Push, Logic Pro X, DJing (both analogue and digital) as well as Studio Recording Techniques and Live Sound Production.
