James started his love of music playing the Trumpet aged 5 and played in Jazz bands and Orchestras throughout his school life. After school he studied Sound Engineering at Kingston University and started working for a record label and then in TV Post Production.

During this time he became a member of a DJ collective and started promoting and putting on his own events in London.

Before working at The Rhythm Studio James worked at Godolphin & Latymer School overseeing the use and teaching of the Recording Studio, Mac suite and Performing Arts space.

James teaches Music Technology at The Rhythm Studio including Ableton Push, Logic Pro X, DJing (both vinyl and digital) as well as Studio Recording Techniques and Live Sound Production.
